Aquarium of the Pacific This $10,000 grant, designed to help the Aquarium recover and grow from the impacts of Covid-19, is a matching gift to double all gifts and ensure world-class care for the Aquarium’s 12,000 animals and its connections to the community.  http://www.aquariumofpacific.org
 CHLA-Butterfly-Logo-2_300 WYCF issued a $10,000 challenge grant to members of the Peninsula Committee Children’s Hospital to donate money for the purchase of books for the “Literally Healing” program at CHLA, which provides new books for patients and siblings. PCCH exceeded the challenge, donating $11,600and WYCF gifted $11,600 for a total of $23,200.00

This $5,000 grant to the Palos Verdes Performing Arts, Education Department is to be used primarily to assist with the continuation and expansion of the “Ready, Willing and Able” class for special needs students, as well as to provide class scholarships for needy students at the PVPA.

Harbor Interfaith Services This $7,500 grant will support the Harbor Interfaith Services Kid’s program which now operates full time since public schools are closed. Funds will be used to hire a full-time teacher, buy computers, provide snacks and lunches, and buy learning materials.
lachallenge This $5,000 grant will assist with scholarships for economically disadvantaged children from the greater Los Angeles area so that they can experience a private-school education. Donations fund tuition, supplies, tutoring and mentoring support.
sunshinekids This $5,000 grant will enhance the quality of life for children with cancer by providing them with positive group experiences so that they can do what kids are supposed to do –have fun and celebrate life even in a pandemic.
This $5,000 grant will fund vital research needed to find treatments for children living with KAT6A, a rare syndrome resulting from a mutation in the KAT6A gene.
This $5,000 grant is targeted at mental health among teens, especially during the isolation caused by the Covid-19 crisis. Funds will be used to expand the new online based program called Connect, designed to increase empathy and resilience in local teens, create a supportive space for teens to both share/listen to one another, foster healthy coping skills and inspire them to help others.
