Aquarium of the Pacific This $10,000 grant will be used to support the Aquarium Scholarship Fund, specifically covering Aquarium admission, education program fees, program evaluation, and project management costs. As many as 800-900 underserved students (grades K-12) from Southern CA may be given the opportunity to visit the Aquarium and experience its magic, many for the first time.
BoysGirlsClub This grant of $5000 will be used to advance the club’s arts program, specifically the digital arts education program for the kids who utilize the after-school programs at this BGC.
CHLA-Butterfly-Logo-2_300 WYCF issued a $10,000 challenge grant (since it is the 10th anniversary of Whitney’s death) to members of the Peninsula Committee Children’s Hospital to donate money for the purchase of books for the Literally Healing Program at CHLA, which provides new books for patients and siblings. PCCH met the challenge, donating $10,000, and WYCF gifted $10,000 for a total of $20,000
CHLA-Butterfly-Logo-2_300 Two special WYCF friends, Siena and Harrison Mills, each raised $3000 and WYCF added $4000 to make a total donation of $10,000 for adaptive bicycles for deserving kids in the CHLA physical therapy program. The bikes develop strength and confidence and promote inclusion.
comfortzonecamp This $2500 donation will provide scholarships for CA children who have experienced a significant loss to grieve and heal together in a fun and safe place as they attend camps for grieving children.
GHRlogo no tag This $2500 grant is to support programming at the Golden Heart Ranch for individuals with a wide range of special needs by providing cooking classes, supper clubs, woodworking, hike clubs and special events.
helpinghands This $5,000 grant will be used to provide ongoing support for a young man, who is a quadriplegic as a result of a car accident, and his monkey helper Kasey, as well as other recipients of monkey helpers.
ica_logo This $7000 grant is to be used to help provide music education to more than 800 elementary LAUSD skid row area students.   This exposure to music emphasizes listening, personal reflection, vocabulary and collaboration, and enhances the students’ general educational experience and success. Teachers incorporate what they learn with other students, thus having an exponential impact.
Journey_Out_Final_Logo_Web This $8000 grant is to support prevention and intervention re sex trafficking via two courses. There will be six prevention courses, 10-15 kids per group, based on “Word on the Street” curriculum; focus is on internet methods of recruitment and the role of media in the devaluation of women and girls.   Intervention is addressed by 2 groups, 6-8 youths per group, of “Ending the Game” for victimized girls; focus will be on educating and empowering the victims by uncovering harmful psychological coercion to which victims have been subjected.

madd This $1000 donation to Walk Like MADD will support educational efforts regarding the dangers of drinking and driving and serve the victims of this violent crime.
MFP Logo CMYKvect2 This $2500 grant is to support the Transformative Education Program at this safe haven for the 3000-6000 homeless teenagers in LA on any given night. This is the umbrella for all creative arts and education workshops, GED prep, writing, fashion and design, music, and video production.
nationalcharityleague This $10,000 grant will fund 12 supplementary college scholarships: 3 for high school graduates and 9 continuing scholarships for college students, all of whom have demonstrated academic success and great financial need.

pediatrictherapynetwork This $10,000 grant was used to sponsor Camp Escapades Summer 2016 so that children and families will continue to benefit from this program and volunteers’ career paths will be influenced by the opportunity to work and interact with these special children.
peninsulacommitteechildrenshospital This $2,500 grant will help to insure that patients within the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases receive the most promising treatments available at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles by supporting the Sarcoma Program.
providencelittlecompanyofmary This $2,500 grant will help to fund this mobile clinic administered by Providence Little Company of Mary. The van provides health care and immunizations to uninsured children via weekly visits to 10 elementary schools in Hawthorne, San Pedro, Gardena and Wilmington.
Rainbow-Logo-Square_400x400 This $5000 grant is to be used to fund development courses so staff can better help children cope with the trauma of violence. The balance of funds will be used to expand the experiences and horizons of women and children who are dealing with family violence.
longbeachronaldmcdonald This $500 gift is to support the 2016 Walk for Kids and the efforts to provide a “home-away-from -home” for the child and their parents.
sandiegomesa  This $5000 grant will be used to provide five scholarships at $1000 each for deserving students who are pursuing a career in child development, teaching, and/or related fields involving children, as they complete studies at Mesa JC or transfer to a four year institution.
SF_logo_hrz_rgb_new This $2500 grant is to be used to sponsor 5 students for the 2017 Summer Youth Development Academy, a week long camp at Cal State Univ. Dominguez Hills. The YDA supports the positive development of underserved middle and high school students by linking them with mentor/role models, healthy activities, and a network of supportive peers and focuses on developing 21st Century skills to help prepare students to be leaders in their schools, neighborhoods, and community at large.
lachallenge This $5000 grant will assist with scholarships for economically disadvantaged children from the greater Los Angeles area   so that they can experience a private -school education. Donations fund tuition, supplies, tutoring and mentoring support with the goal of promoting educational achievement in an optimal school environment.
sunshinekids This $5000 grant will enhance the quality of life for children with cancer by providing them with positive group experiences so that they can do what kids are supposed to do –have fun and celebrate life.
download This grant of $5000 supports Food for Kids – a program that delivers non-perishable food, $26 per bag, to Title One elementary school children in the Carson, Compton, Long Beach, San Pedro, Torrance, and Wilmington school districts. The food is to be consumed over the weekend by these underserved kids so they don’t arrive hungry at school on Monday.
logo27 This $5000 grant will be used to sponsor   young amputee children for the 2017 Kids Camp for ages 8-15, which will be held in Washington DC. This softball camp, organized by Wounded Warriors with amputations, for children with amputations or missing limbs, is life-changing for the kids –who are exposed to great role models and whose self-esteem is forever changed
